YA, We Read It!

Welcome back to YA, We Read It! Where Laura and Meggie are reading the 4th Off Campus book "The Goal." There's a lot to say about goals in life, and there's a lot to say about when those goals get uprooted by an unexpected pregnancy, which is exactly what happens to hockey boy Tucker and smart girl Sabrina! In a book of mommy issues, and stepdaddy issues, and nana issues on top of all the other school/work/life issues can these two really make it work when the unexpected happens? 

It's time for more YA, We Read It! Meggie and Laura are here and ready to discuss the third off campus book The Score!! 
Dean and Allie run in the same circles, Dean one of the hockey guys and Allie is Hannah's best friend. When Allie breaks up with her boyfriend for 4th time, she's determined to not backslide and take him back. Unfortunately for her in her efforts to not get back with him, it leads her right into getting under Dean (UH OH!) Listen! Rate! Review! 

We all make mistakes! (Even your perfect hosts, Meggie and Laura!) But for Logan, our book 2 protagonist, he's unfortunately dealing with a domino-effect of mistakes after meet-cuting Grace by accidentally knocking on her dorm room one night. Logan grappling with his feelings for his best friends girlfriend, his future, and now Grace, who he can't stop thinking about really isn't in the best spot to be in for him. Tune in as we listen to Logan try to figure his own stuff out and win Grace over!! 

It's YA, We Read It's 22nd season! (we really can't believe it!!!) And that means its time to transport ourselves to the wonderful time that was the year 2015 and step into the world of Off Campus (which is now an Amazon Prime show!!) 
Hannah agrees to tutor her philosophy classmate, Garrett Graham (captain of the hockey team), in exchange for fake dating him to get the attention of another guy. What could possibly go wrong? And what can go right? Tune in!!! 

The City of Season Finales: population Meggie and Laura! They have done it! They have completed Cassandra Clare's 6 book Shadowhunters series and boy how the time did... move... 
To conclude a season of a lot of characters, plotpoints, and unfortunate incestuous plotlines we request your humble listening as we close down out time with Jace, Clary, Alec, Isabelle, and Simon, and everyone else, and everything else. There's a lot to say but mostly we want to say thank you for tuning in for our 21st season and we can't wait to be back for our 22nd season!

Sebastian's plans for Shadowhunter domination are (unfortunately) going very well. When everyone is summoned to shelter in place in Idris so the Clave can plan what to do next, Clary, Jace, Isabelle, Simon and Alec take matters into their own hands and venture into the demon realm. 

Your favorite hosts + lost souls Laura and Meggie have returned for book 5 of Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments Series: City of Lost Souls. 
Jace is fully MIA after the showdown with the demon Lilith in book 4, when he returns he's all buddy-buddy with Sebastian and wants Clary to come be with them. Meanwhile the rest of the gang tries to figure out a way to sever the bond between Sebastian and Jace without killing Jace (even though Clary's mom is like, okay but maybe it'd be fine if we did kill Jace?). 

Meggie and Laura are back at their very hot mics and ready for the 4th installment of Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series. Just when Clary and Jace are finally under the viewpoint that they are, in fact, NOT brother and sister and they can finally be together, Jace starts having dreams that he wants to murder Clary. And, speaking of murder, Simon keeps having people in gray tracksuits try to murder him. And there's someone in NYC trying to make more demon babies! And the OG head vampire Camille is back in town!! And there's a new character named Kyle/Jordan who is a werewolf assigned to protect Simon at all costs!!! And we hope you listen and rate our podcast!!! THANK YOU!!!!! 

Your hosts Meggie and Laura are back for another installment of the Shadowhunters series! After Clary used her newfound rune powers to have an entire cruise ship close in on itself The Clave is suspicious! She's supposed to meet them in the land of the Shadowhunters, Idris but things go from bad to worse when Jace tricks everyone into leaving without Clary, accidentally brings Simon along, and Clary illegally enters the city by a portal of her own creation... Not to mention Valentine is on his way to securing the final mortal instrument, let's just say things aren't looking good.

YA, We Read It's 21st season continues right now! Laura and Meggie are diving in to more Mortal Instruments (more like Mortal Incest-ruments, am I right?) because after Clary found out Jace, the boy she was crushing and kissing on, was her brother... she now has to grapple with the fact that she still really wants to crush and kiss on her brother (...yikes!). To mask her forbidden feelings, she's going to try and date her best friend Simon amidst our main plot where daddy villain Valentine is plotting to get his next mortal instrument and become the most powerful Shadowhunter around.
